WAJOOD STARTED BEFORE WAJOOD HAD A NAME.
Wajood began with something I had been around my entire life - clothing.
I grew up watching my father work in the clothing industry. Different fabrics. Different designs. Different techniques. Different brands.
I watched garments being cut, stitched, printed, embroidered and finished long before I ever thought about creating a brand of my own.
After graduation, I wanted to take everything I had grown up around and create something of our own.
That became Wajood.

ROOTED IN WHAT ALREADY EXISTS.
Growing up in India, we were surrounded by forms of craftsmanship that have existed for generations hand block printing, embroidery, textiles, patterns and techniques passed down through families and communities.
These things were never really new.
But today, many of them are becoming less visible.
We don't want to simply reproduce traditional clothing.
We want to reinterpret what already exists.
